EVERYTHING BEGINS WITH SOMETHING LIVING.

BIO.PRINTS began with a fascination with the patterns found in the natural world.

Not the polished version of nature.

The real thing.

The strange things. The asymmetrical things. The things that grow through cracks, compete for light, decompose, regenerate, adapt, and somehow become beautiful in the process.

A forest is full of patterns.

Soil is full of patterns.

Leaves, fungi, flowers, feathers, bark, water, stone, cells, roots... all of them carry their own visual language.

We wanted to pay attention.

FROM OBSERVATION TO DESIGN

BIO.PRINTS translates observations of the natural world into wearable design.

A pattern might begin with a flower.

A texture might come from bark.

A color combination might come from an ecosystem.

A collection might begin with a much larger idea about growth, adaptation, decay, regeneration, or the relationship between living things.

The finished design doesn't attempt to reproduce nature exactly.

It interprets it.

Because nature isn't static, and neither is design.

WE DON'T BELIEVE IN PERFECT.

Nature has never been particularly interested in perfection.

It produces variation.

It produces asymmetry.

It produces things that shouldn't work but somehow do.

BIO.PRINTS embraces that.

Our designs are intended to be distinctive rather than interchangeable... expressive rather than anonymous.

You don't have to disappear into the crowd just because everyone else is wearing the same thing.

THE BEGINNING

BLOOM 001 is the first collection.

It explores emergence, growth, transformation, and the relentless tendency of living things to reach toward whatever comes next.

BLOOM 001.01 is the first print.

The beginning of the BIO.PRINTS archive.

Future collections will continue that exploration through different subjects, environments, patterns, and ideas.

WHY "BIO.PRINTS"?

Because every living system leaves a pattern.

A footprint.

A structure.

A trace.

A signature.

BIO.PRINTS is an exploration of those signatures... translated into something human beings can carry with them.

BIO.PRINTS exists at the intersection of nature, design, and individual expression.

We make footwear inspired by the living world because we believe the things surrounding us are worth noticing.

And perhaps if we pay closer attention to the patterns of the natural world, we might become a little better at remembering that we're part of it.
